Janet has been with Charter since 1994, after years spent honing her account management skills with numerous insurance companies and agencies in Atlanta and Washington, DC., and underwriting positions at Hartford and Fireman’s Insurance Company of Washington, DC. Along the way, Janet has worked with oil and gas lease operators and contractors, coal and hard rock mining companies, utilities, power generation companies, steel manufacturers, multi-national corporations, and other commercial operations – large and small. Today, she works with clients on their contractual risk management and certificate monitoring protocols, often serving as the “back office risk management and insurance department” in developing exposure analysis, claims handling, presentations, and management reports.
Janet has marched in the Houston Fat Stock Show Parade with the Bellaire Belles – twice. She has taken joy rides in single-engine plane and motorcycle. And she was once a middle school English teacher, so she is eminently qualified to correct our spelling and grammar and keep us all in line.
